Woke up a little before my alarm at 7 AM. I'm feeling less hammered. I'm thinking of skipping yoga though, even though it probably would help my aching muscles, because I have a therapy appointment at 7 PM. Plus I should start emptying the car.

Got my school computer setup set up. Yay! And I even have time for a short nap!

Talked to the garbage people. They missed my PayPal payment at first, but now they have it and they will bring the garbage can on Thursday or Friday. Yay.

Classes went well and I even enjoyed them.

I rejoined the gym membership perk of BCBS. I was looking for a gym that I could go to after talking to my mom, and there is only one 24-hour fitness place on the weekends, and it's a place with which I've had a bad experience (Anytime Fitness). Bummer. I suppose that I could use the exercise bike here and do bodyweight exercises.

Had my therapy session. She was really positive about my yoga classes and possibly joining Toastmasters after I go to Michigan. She wants me to do exercises about my boundaries and I find it hard. Oh, and we changed the time of our sessions to avoid it being right after yoga.

I love my new retro alarm clock. It's even cooler IRL.

I had Aldi's fish and chips for dinner and it was really good. It even was worth trying to turn the fish and fries with a small fork. I have tongs, but they're--you guessed it--in one of the many boxes. Tomorrow night is for massive unpacking action.

I looked at furniture on Facebook Marketplace, but I'm not finding much that I like. I looked for places with installment payments, but I didn't find much that I liked there either. So it's save up money time. There are a lot of things on Overstock.com that I do like. Purchasing Power does have some stuff that I like. But I fell in love with a coffee table/end table set for $3400! No.

I'm tired.

I forgot to put the trash out yesterday to be collected. And I have a full trash can. Drat.

Harlee has been wanting breakfast in bed the last couple of days and, because she's an old lady, I've been giving it to her in bed. Anything to keep my girl eating. (Hmm. No one gives ME breakfast in bed. That's because I'm staff :))

The colder weather is back (30s F). In a weird way, I'm glad. I'm not sure why. It's supposed to be back in the 50s again by the weekend though.

I have a tedious, mindless task at work that I try to make progress on every day. So I played classical music to do the "listen to classical music every day" thing. I'll have to buy the book of classical music selections sometime. I can't get it through interlibrary loan.

My boss was talking to me about possibly teaching some Information Literacy classes in the future, so I'm looking into Toastmasters and possibly volunteer tutoring. (Do I want to go to Toastmasters this week? I was looking forward to staying home on Friday.)

I found some volunteer online tutoring for children in Africa and the Philippines. I also found a group that will pay your room and board at various spots in Europe if you provide English practice. Some of the places are English-speaking though, which is strange: Ireland and the UK, and Malta. (Although their calendar shows only spots in Eastern Europe. Maybe the English-speaking spots are spots for ESL training?) You still have to pay your airfare. But (in a particular program) they will provide training in teaching English as a Foreign Language and give you some credits in it. They have a few sites in Poland, so I could get in touch with my roots, but I'd like to learn some Polish first. Damn, Language Loop in Chicago is no longer offering Polish classes on the weekend.

Damn, Ursula LeGuin has died. I keep meaning to read some of her books.

I decided not to apply for the research grant. My research project isn't the type of project that they're looking for.
