I was cold last night when I settled into bed. So I brought out the serious blanket: my velour throw. That did the trick. I had three blankets on me, but people pay good money for a weighted blanket. I need to fiddle with the thermostat because I think that it was colder than 68 degrees F in here. The cats didn't seem to mind though.

OMG. I saw on Facebook that my friend's daughter (the one who made my blog logo) and her dog were in a major car accident, but both were okay. The car, not so much. I hope that she has good insurance.

Kitty contretemps. I think that they must have gotten in a major dustup recently because Zara is walking around the kitchen floor like she owns it, which is good. But they were squabbling before I fed them.

Looked at hand cream sets on Amazon for a Christmas present for my aunt. But I want to check out local stores first. I'm trying to remember what DVD my mom wanted, but I have a memory like a sieve. (It was a Santana CD.)

I'm wondering if I could pull off two sewing classes a month. December is a short month though. Maybe I could take the pants class in December and work on pajama pants over break. I was looking at flannel fabrics at Fabric.com. I found some YouTube videos on sewing flannel.

Dozed for about 45 minutes, and decided that I wasn't really going to fall asleep and got up.

I took a test about your purpose in life ("sparketype") and got The Maven; that is, I love learning for the sake of learning. My secondary "shadow sparketype" is The Scientist. Sounds about right. Of course, they want to sell something about your type. Nope. It would be interesting if my dad or mom took the test to see what he or she got.

I'm wondering why Walgreens hasn't filled my prescriptions yet. Usually, they're fast. But now, they're closed.

Talked to Mom. She had problems with her email and snail mail this week. Plus a planter fell through a bench in the backyard. I forgot to ask her how the doctor's appointment went, but she would have told me if there were problems.

I think that I want to make it an early night. Both Mimi and Zara are in the bedroom right now, so I might have company.

Mimi is complaining up a storm because I got up later (11:30 AM) than I normally do for work. Mimi, I get to sleep in on my days off.

The weird problem with the WiFi not having access to the Internet on my phone mysteriously went away. I wish that I knew what was causing it.

Got the gym lock set. Mimi got fur on my gym clothes, but I don't have time to wash them. Maybe I could go tomorrow and wash them. Decided to throw them in the wash while I nap.

Napped. Discovered that the clothes in the dryer weren't dry. Worst case, I'll go over to the gym and show then my fitness card and then come back to use the gym.

I'm not going to make it to the gym office. Next Thursday or Friday then. I will run errands, however.

Got my errands run. The tellers at the credit union love that I almost have my car paid off. I bought ingredients for the apple-spinach salad that I Iove plus a bunch of stuff that I didn't really need but looked yummy at Aldi.

Slate's column about raising kids has an atheist's daughter rebelling by going to Quaker Meeting. Hahaha I kind of love that.

I have a strong impulse to get my files in order in the office, but that probably isn't my highest priority. I'll see if I have the file folders that I need. The hanging file folders won't work in my drawer (unless I steal the hardware from my files in storage), so I need to get manila folders.

I lay down for a nap. And slept until 1:30 AM. So much for getting the folders. I got up and fed the cats, who were waiting to be fed, but let me sleep. I wouldn't have blamed them for walking on me.

Looked at hanging file folder frames. Not this month though, unless I use Swagbucks money on it. Swagbucks no longer has a way to transfer money to my Aspiration account, so I guess that I need to get Amazon gift cards. They've really gone downhill.

Looked to see if Chewy has an app. Of course they do. I need to look into what they sell. I normally just get dry cat food from Amazon, but I could get flats of canned food and litter to get free shipping. The cashiers at Wal-Mart would thank me; they hate scanning large amounts of tiny cat food cans. And if I have a large amount of cat food cans, I go to the cashiers and not self-check because I don't want to scan them either.

I'm feeling less burnt-out than I did yesterday. Cool beans.

I'm wondering where my socks went. Usually I have enough to last through the work week, but I just have enough to last through tomorrow. Guess that I'll have to toss in a load of laundry.

Mimi has been lying on my clean laundry. I guess that's incentive to put it away.

Trying to connect with the guy turning my gas off and on is becoming more and more complex. We had plans for Sunday, but he's helping his girlfriend move on Sunday. Oy. We finally agreed that he would come on noon on Saturday to shut things off, and come back during the evening on Saturday to turn things on.

I'm mulling over a trip to Alton, IL. The AARP magazine listed it as a place to live for $40,000 a year, but I notice that they didn't mention that it floods. I'm not interested in retiring there because snow (and floods), but It's been on my list of places to go for a while. We get a long weekend in the fall for "Fall Break," so that's a thought. I'd get to visit the mighty Mississippi River.

Found some good, cheap, and easy recipes in a free cookbook on a blog.

I inadvertently caused Kitty Drama. Zara was interested in my ice cream, and I told her that she couldn't have it, but she could lick the spoon. Well, Mimi wanted to lick the spoon and there was hissing and growling. I hastily put the ice cream and spoon away.

I think that I'm going to go to bed early and read about macroeconomics. The New York Times had an excellent article about trade deficits.

I found the RV that I want.
