Even Watching Skating Is Expensive
Mar. 24th, 2018 10:33 pmThe US figure skating championships will be in Detroit next year in early January. I wonder if I could visit my mom and go. Just checked the price last year, and it was $350. Holy cow. Maybe not.
Now it's snowing/sleeting. I suppose that we had to have one more winter storm.
They rebroadcast the men's skating, although I've been missing half of the skating because I was thinking that the scheduled time was Central Time rather than Eastern Time. Oops. Many falls in the men's program too. Nathan Chen of the US won the gold, and he didn't fall.
Grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner. Yum.
Got a lot of cleaning done on the kitchen. Scrubbed the bathroom and kitchen floors.
I want to make my banana bread now and put it into the oven, and then pretreat the living room and hall carpets so that I can wash them tomorrow.
All in all, a productive day.
Oh, I watched an interesting program on CNN called Sex and Love Around the World. This episode was about New Delhi. I'm considering asking my mom to talk on Fridays instead of Saturdays so that I can watch it.
