Katz! Work Break!

It's been roughly a year since I adopted Zara. Boy, the year has gone fast. She's settled into living with us pretty well, although it took a while. I just felt a little gray paw on my leg. She must have known that I was writing about her.

I took Harlee in for her annual checkup Thursday with her usual wailing and carrying on. Her thyroid readings have been stable, so they're going to decrease the frequency of the blood tests, which I'm sure that she will appreciate -;)

The bad news: I'm going to work very limited hours for the first two full weeks of March, so I won't be earning much. The good news: I'm going to work very limited hours for the first two weeks of March, so I'll have time to finally wrap up my research project. Spring Break is one of those weeks also.

One thing that I want to do on my "work break" is install Windows 7. I'm running XP right now, and if I upgrade Windows 7 directly onto XP, I'll have to do a clean install. So I just bought a cheap version of Vista and am going to do a two-step process to keep from having to reinstall all my software. Yes, my data is backed up.

The job market has picked up, which is great news. I'm planning to catch up on job applications over the next few days.

I suppose that I should crash. I left my USB drive in the computer at work, so I need to drive over to work tomorrow (okay, today) to pick it up. Oh well....

P.S. My mom did get the Honda Fit. It's really cute and now I want one.
